Taylor Swift's Chai Sugar Cookies

Last year Taylor Swift made Chai Sugar Cookies, and let me tell you, they looked amazing.

Taylor Swift has been my favorite singer/artist for so long. I'm beyond obsessed. So, my friend and I thought the only reasonable thought after seeing these. WE HAVE TO MAKE THEM. So, we did. Yes, it took us a year to make it because we wanted to have them around Christmas, but don't worry, they were still AMAZING. And, we bought Taylor Swift's 1989 themed aprons to finish it off. Tbh, I had never baked with chai, so I did use a recipe. Also, it's the recipe Taylor Swift used, so I figured that that had to happen. Here we go:

It is the Giant Vanilla Sugar Cookie Recipe from Joy the Baker. Super simple. But now you're wondering, where's the chai. Ah-ha. The chai is added after adding the egg and vanilla. Just take a packet of chai tea and pour the leaves right in the dough.

For the icing, I didn't use eggnog, but if you want go for it. It is used instead of milk. The recipe is 1 cup of confectioner's sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon mixed with about 3 tablespoons of milk (or eggnog). Add either more or less liquid depending on how thick you want your icing. Then, drizzle it on and enjoy!!
